This policy report, released by the Andalus Committee's Madrid Office, examines Spain’s growing role as a Euro–Afro–Ibero-American bridge and its potential to advance Afrodescendant youth inclusion. It analyses Spain’s shift toward cross-regional diplomacy — reflected in the Africa Strategy 2025–2028 and EU–CELAC engagement — and identifies why Afrodescendant youth remain underrepresented despite increasing civic and organisational leadership. The report highlights key barriers such as limited data, fragmented participation, underfunding, and persistent discrimination, while recognising the dynamism of youth-led Afrodescendant initiatives across Spain, Africa, and Latin America. To address these gaps, it recommends permanent participatory structures, a tri-regional youth network and annual forum, and a dedicated development fund to support mentoring, data collection, and anti-racism work. Together, these measures aim to institutionalise Afrodescendant youth participation and strengthen Spain’s role in shaping more inclusive Euro–Afro–Ibero-American cooperation.
